Long Distance Orientation

Long distance advising is only available to new, transfer, or readmitted students who live 300 or more miles from campus, and/or experiencing financial or other hardships that prevent them from attending an on-campus orientation program. To obtain authorization to participate in our long distance student option, including our on-line orientation program, you must first contact the NSFP Office.  Long distance advising is no longer offered for the Fall 2008 semester.  Please attend Super Saturday to receive advising.  Students not able to attend an in-person program can register during open enrollment on Tuesday, August 19.

Super Saturday

Were you unable to attend an orientation program? Do you need a last-minute schedule check? How about drop-in academic advising? Have a last-minute schedule change, or do you need to register for classes? Looking for some good tips for academic and social success at Boise State? If so, then Super Saturday is for you!

Super Saturday, to be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 10:30am  to 4:00pm, is the mandatory second step in the orientation process of long-distance students. The program, however, is open to all new and continuing students as well.

Click here for details on Super Saturday.

Online Orientation

New Student and Family Programs offers an online orientation option to students for whom distance or other factors make an in-person orientation challenging. Students must be cleared to take part in the online orientation program. Online Orientation is no longer offered for the Fall 2008 semester.  Please attend Super Saturday to receive advising.  Students not able to attend an in-person program can register during open enrollment on Tuesday, August 19.
